This poem may seem off, or even a little sappy,
But all I often wish for is to be happy.
The clouds roll in and keep me captive.
I remain silent though my screen says active.
If I smile too long it hurts my face,
Because the expression is so out of place.
I feel like I’m forcing with all that I’ve got,
Trying to be happy in a world that is not.
